Owner had a small ranch house in an urban developing neighborhood in the university area of Raleigh. The Lot is bounded on 3 sides by streets, two of which connect at an extreme angle. This provided a unique constraint, of a triangle shaped lot. We reimagined several possible options for redevelopment of the site. Two options came to the top with a unique single family home being the first option and a duplex apartment being the second.
Several variations were provided during concept phase. Ultimately the owner was not satisfied with the amount of useable square footage because of the site constraints. Project stopped after several iterations.
